It has been wonderful working with Liz. Not only is Liz a highly talented artist whose sketches for the last Mcr Histories Festival marketing invited people to look at the city in a different way but her generosity and skill in sharing her learning, experience and artistic knowledge resulted in successful fully booked workshops.
After contacting a number of designers and artists, we decided that Liz’s style was the best match for our aims and vision. Liz really understood the brief and instantly helped us to realise the bigger picture.
Liz was really excellent to work with. Nothing was ever too much and she took her time to explain things carefully and how the finished images would be achieved. Liz was a great communicator and really enjoyable to work with.
The finished images have exceeded our expectations and we wouldn’t hesitate recommending Liz for commissioning work. We are delighted with the finished product and can’t wait to show our new clients. I hope we have the opportunity to work together again at some stage.
We commissioned two drawings from Liz, one to celebrate our first two years of operations and the other for our first ever Christmas card.
We are thrilled with them both. Liz spent a lot of time here, absorbing the character of the house and garden as well as studying the architectural detail. We talked about what we wanted to achieve and then let Liz get on with interpreting it and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. The Christmas card is elegant as well as festive, and is flying off the shelves so will hopefully be sitting on a lot of mantelpieces this Christmas. The drawing of the house, on a bright summer’s day, captures a sense of wonder as you come across it in the city, walk through the gates, and into the lovely garden.
I had never commissioned a piece of art before, let alone one of a specific building! But Liz made the whole experience a joy with her gifted style, eye for detail, unobtrusive manner (it was a birthday surprise so it needed to be covert) and punctual delivery.
I would recommend Liz to anyone wanting a unique, fine-art portrait without hesitation.
